Funds received for the Disaster Relief Fund are designated only for grants to communities in Ohio who have experienced disasters which are certified by local or federal officials. Grant requests must specify the use of the funds in the local community. A committee of the Foundation Board reviews the requests and grants funds for the stated purposes.
The Foundation provides a good way for expression of the concern which Kiwanians always have for other communities in need.
In 2010 funds were provided to help with opening school in the Luckey School District after a tornado leveled the high school.
Donations are solicited on a continuing basis so that funds are available when disaster strikes in Ohio.
Request grant application forms and procedures from secretary@odkf.org.
