Avon Lake Safety Town
Kiwanis Club of Avon Lake led the way to provide a permanent Safety Town in their city. Donors, beginning with the Kiwanis Club, the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation and Kiwanis International Foundation, were encouraged to sponsor buildings in the town which would have their name on it. The Safety Town is used to educate 300 preschool children each summer in safe practices in their town.
