Camp Invention

Camp Invention

The Kiwanis Club of Portage County assisted the Family and Community Services in providing scholarships for low-income, at-risk elementary students to attend the summer Camp Invention. A creative learning experience in conjunction with the National Inventors Hall of Fame during one week of the summer vacation gave an alternative to traditional classrooms for these children. Kiwanis Club members provided materials used and volunteers to assist the teachers in addition to funds for the scholarships provided by the Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation.
